Every year, in mid-December, Catalonia raises money to give to La Marató de TV3. The money collected for the 2019 edition was used for the research of rare diseases.

The exhibition “Malaties minoritàries” (Rare Diseases) by photographer Xavier Josa, which was done with the help of Federació Catalana de Malalties Minoritàries (FECAMM) and Fujifilm, consists of about fifty back and white pictures with some pops of colour of people who suffer from some of these diseases. The photograph compilation evokes spontaneity, tenderness and happiness while also normalizing and making visible these diseases.
